Full featured, takes getting used to

I’ve been using Growly Notes for a few years to make to-do lists, random notes, and business lists. Access to the sidebar to move between different notes is nice, and the automatic saving process is straightforward. I only use a small fraction of the functions available, and they work well.

There are a few things that don’t work very smoothly. Sometimes the app will refuse to HIDE. Keyboard shortcuts for text-selection work in a weird way— if you switch to whole-word selection, you can’t switch back to single space selection. I prefer using my keyboard for selection in most cases, so this forces me to use the mouse. A relatively minor annoyance.

Growly Notes is feature packed and is a unique and useful app. The workflow issues I mentioned are minor, relative to a very clever and well-designed app.
